Peugeot Blue Mixte Market Bike

10 Speed Blue Mixte Market Bike

Found in the back of Silicon Valley Bike Coalition shed, this beautiful Peugeot needed lots of parts.

The frame waited until the right front fork was available.

The white front fork came from the 'Perfect French Bike' bike.
The handebars were from a big pile in the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition shed and fit perfectly. I've never seen other one like it.

The frame had the bottom bracket and crank. Notice the rear mixte brake.

That says it all.

Raleigh Sprite Mixte Paint Job

A Raleigh Mixte Looking for the Right Color

It's a naked frame right now. All the parts are there and it will be great when the new owner tells me what color she wants me to paint it

Out of box it was a mess.

Centurion Ironman 10 Speed

It's Red, Fast and Has an Odd Kickstand

This was a quick cleanup. I like Centurions since they set up like Raleighs.

The kickstand is on the rear downtube by the derailleur.

Raleigh Sprite White Mixte

 A Great Bike for Errands

This bike was from Ebay. Until you open the box you never know what kind of shape the bike is really in. At first I thought it was a repaint until I took a closer look. It is authenic, except for the rear fender.

You can see the front fender is classic Raleigh, but the rear fender is contemporary German.

The basic fabric of the bike was intact, but of course all the things that wear out over time needed replacing.

First Raleigh Superbe

 The Best of the Best

The Superbe was the most luxurious roadster made by Raleigh. This one came from someone at work who had a wardrobe, furniture and a car from the sixties and wanted a bike from the era as well.

As Purchased Off Craig's List

It has a locking fork and Dynohub lighting system

Take a look at the heron on the chain ring.

Here is a closer view.
