10 Speed Blue Mixte Market Bike

Found in the back of Silicon Valley Bike Coalition shed, this beautiful Peugeot needed lots of parts. 

The frame waited until the right front fork was available. 

The white front fork came from the 'Perfect French Bike' bike.

The handebars were from a big pile in the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition shed and fit perfectly. I've never seen other one like it.

The frame had the bottom bracket and crank. Notice the rear mixte brake.

That says it all.

The graphics are classic and see how the head tube is detailed.

It came from Ebay as a frame. Fortunately the crank was intact.

It started as just a frame.

My friend at the Bike Hut in San Francisco has an eye for great bikes.

He soldit to me after I promised I would treat it with respect.

The paint was a mess, but the perfection of the frame is evident to even the casual observer.

The detailing of the head tube is characteristic of Peugeot.

My friend's wife picked the color. She likes pink.

In fashion, accessories can make or break an outfit. The bell was a perfect addition.

Also notice the 70's head badge on this older bike.

All the components were selected for authenticity.

This Dutch saddle made the bike even more Eurocentric.

This mid sixties Peugeot came from the Silicon Valley Bike Coalition and

needed new cables and handlebar tape. 

The brake hoods are in great shape

So the bottom bracket kept coming loose so I went to Ebay for a new frame.

While it was apart the bike got lots of upgraded parts.
